New to the site - just introducing myself!

Hello, everyone! My name is Aurora - joined a few weeks ago and, though I've been scanning through things offered here at RPG, I think it's probably time I made an introduction.

I'm really terrible at introductions, actually. xD

I've been role-playing since November 2010 and, in January '11, was unhappy with how things were going in that RP and left with a group of four other girls to start our own. From then until March '12 I helped run (as a joint effort) a chat-based Harry Potter RP which expanded into seven different RPs over that year. However, with so many people running it, a few of the people got a little power-hungry and it just got to be too much. So, I once again jumped ship and started another chat-based HP RP with one partner which is a lot more quiet and easy to deal with and is where I remain today.

The reason I've joined this site is to learn about different types of role-play (on behalf of my group) since we've only ever done real-time chat to role-play. It's how we were all introduced to role-play and we were surprised to learn it doesn't seem to be a very popular outlet for RP, compared to forum and blog posting.

I'm also seeing if there is any interest here for a Harry Potter universe RP based outside of the general three time periods (marauders/Harry/newgen) and probably set in the early 1980's.
